Why is it so difficult to meet somebody today?

In spite of all the networking possibilities and social media?

If you are Single, Divorced or Widowed and want to get back into the Dating game, if you're looking for that elusive partner, you will be interested to hear how a pro went about it. I was a matchmaker in Ireland and had my own dating agency. I'm sharing my experience and insider views with my readers. For more info see my book's website: www.NextTimeLucky.com!

I had the honor of being asked to come on the local NBC show First Coast Living twice in the last week to give dating advice. If you missed it, you can read all that stuff in my book.

The Left Over Woman

Single, professional ladies out there: be glad to be living in the West and not in China. The term Left-Over Woman for anybody over 26, mostly professional and living in urban surroundings even made it into the Chinese Government's Dictionary.
Our culture over the centuries coined terms like:"Wallflower, Bluestocking, Left on the Shelf, Beyond one's sell-by date".While there were social implications and condescending bad vibes at worst, there have never been nationwide surveys listing these women, republished again and again and used for propaganda purposes. "This derogatory term has been aggressively disseminated by the Chinese government, warning women that they will become spinsters if they do not marry by the time they turn 30."

The Chinese irony lies in the country's One Child Policy  that created a sex-imbalance (They were only keeping the more valuable sex, the baby boy) which left a surplus of tens of millions of single men who will never find a bride.
Single ladies, professionals, pursue your career! Your biological clock isn't ticking yet and you don't have a government on your back!
